Kytocode is the brand name under which Kyto LLC operates. References to “Kytocode,” “we,” “us,” or “our” throughout this policy mean Kyto LLC. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and learning platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Kytocode teaches children aged 5–12. Every account is created by a parent or guardian, or by our team on a parent or guardian’s behalf — children do not sign up directly, and all communication about a student’s account goes to the parent or guardian who booked it.
Information we collect
When you book a free trial
The child’s name, grade, the parent or guardian’s phone number and email address, the course or subject of interest, and a preferred demo date and time. We also detect your country and timezone automatically from your device so we can show demo slots in your local time.
When your account is created
Once a booking is approved, we create a login (phone number or email, with a password) and a student profile tied to it. If you enroll in more than one course, each course has its own enrollment record under the same account.
Payment information
Course payments are processed by Stripe. Kytocode never receives or stores your card number, expiry date, or CVV — Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what we need to confirm and record the payment (amount, status, and a payment reference).
Live classes
Classes run over embedded video calling, which needs access to your device’s camera and microphone while a class is in progress. We do not currently record classes. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy before turning it on.
Messages and support
Chat messages between a student, their teacher, and our team are stored against that student’s enrollment so conversations and homework feedback stay available for reference.
Technical information
Like most websites, our servers automatically log basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell this data.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Schedule and run demo and paid classes, and match students with teachers.
- Process payments and maintain accurate payment records.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about bookings, classes, and account changes.
- Provide customer support and respond to questions.
- Keep the platform secure and prevent misuse.
- Improve our courses and the platform itself.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use a student’s data for advertising.
Children's privacy
Kytocode is a service for children, used under the supervision of a parent or guardian who controls the account. We collect only what is needed to run classes and communicate with the parent or guardian — we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child beyond what happens naturally during a live, teacher-supervised class (for example, the student speaking on a video call).
A parent or guardian can review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s information at any time using the contact details below.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us run Kytocode, and only to the extent needed for them to do that job:
- Stripe — to process course payments.
- DigitalOcean — our hosting and storage provider, for our database and any files uploaded to the platform (such as study materials or assignments).
- WhatsApp / Meta — for booking and class notifications, where applicable.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our students, staff, or the public.
Data storage and security
Your information is stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorized Kytocode staff who need it to do their job — for example, a teacher can see their own students, and an admin can see records needed to manage the platform. Passwords are stored encrypted, never in plain text. Data may be processed on servers located outside your own country in order to operate the platform; wherever it is processed, we apply the same protections described in this policy.
How long we keep your information
We keep account, enrollment, and payment records for as long as your account is active, and afterward for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. A trial booking that is never approved into an account is kept only long enough to follow up with you, then removed.
Your rights and choices
You, or your child’s parent or guardian, can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we hold about you or your child.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we’re required to keep (such as payment history).
- Stop receiving non-essential communications from us.
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. We’ll respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the platform secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our services change. If we make a material change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate, let registered users know directly.
